61Charleston Posted November 14, 2019 Report Share Posted November 14, 2019 Hello all, About a month ago I purchased the boat of my dreams. A 2010 2200 XL with a 2011 Yamaha 200 vmax. I could not have been happier with the boat untill... I got off work this evening and decided to clean the hull. Upon getting underneath the boat I have found a section of gel coat missing about 5 inches wide by a foot long. Also directly to the right of the missing gel coat is some spider cracks in the gel coat that extend roughly 3 ft long by a few inches wide. There is no signs of impact around this area that I can tell. The concerning areas of missing gelcoat and spider cracks are roughly located under the port side rod locker. I am looking for advice concerning my options on what to do next? Who should I contact? Since the hull is out of warranty is it best I seek local boat repair facilities?
