Happy Lappy
I need the forums help. Today at lunch I'm going to look at a Magic Trail trailer for my 1992 Hewes Redfisher 18. I forget to measure my boat, trailer, and my existing bunks before I left for work. Does any body have the measurements for the my style of boat and/or the measurements I need the trailer to be? I have no problem or doing a little work on the trailer but any insight on buying a used trailer will be appreciated. What do I need to check out and what's a deal breaker? Thanks
SouthernWake
I can’t help on the measurements but on the trailer look for any bends/cracks in the cross beams and I beams. Look at the hardware for corrosion or any parts that need to be replaced. also now before the bot goes on is a great time to put any new hardware etc on. SCFD rtrd.
Check the tire ware or unusual ware across the tread. More tire ware on the insides would indicate a bent axel.
