Lowcountry Joe
When I use the tilt switch on my throttle lever, the motor will raise or lower but the bars on the TACH do not move past two bars . Also when I use the switch on the motor (F150), it registers the same way on the TACH screen. HELP !
fin-addict
It’s due to the little thingy made of plastic on the outside of front of engine port side below steering push rod. My brothers broke. Mine was stuck or out of place. Needed to be readjusted, about two years ago. Hope this helps. Simple adjust if you know what to look for. Brother was told not to fix due to it’s cost, just look at engine, I agree with that. Never liked trim gauges, look and feel much better and you get to know the feel of your boat, jmo. Fin 😀 its called a trim sender cam ring and connects to the tilt tube. Looked it up and found info on the hull truth. Just my need a little of WD40. Google it for additional info. Good luck 😀

imsnookyrd
The new replacement part from Yamaha is made of metal and its not hard to do.
Bamaskeet
This is a common issue. There is a plastic lever that hits a plastic (old style) or a metal finger. The plastic lever switch could be broken or bound up or the finger could be broken or maladjusted.
