cumberlandjg
Upgraded from a 2004 Key West 1720 with 90 Yamaha 2 Stroke to a 2004 2200TE with 200 Yamaha VMAX Hpdi 230 Hours. Any insights into the boat are greatly appreciated!
HoneyB
I’ll tell you one thing that will help you in your transition. Watch the Tail swing. When docking and moving the boat around just know you do not just turn away like you did in the 17 footer . nice looking sled by they way. fin-addict
Great boat and fantastic motor, nearly bulletproof. You will love that combo. Very dry ride, needs very little tabs if any and same for trim. Best of luck with her. 😀fin
Bamaskeet
You bought a great boat/motor combination. My only advise is your engine needs clean fuel, pay a lot attention to the fuel you buy. Enjoy!
fishmanjj
You just went from a go cart to a NASCAR.....great boat / motor combo.....excellent choice.
HoneyB
1720 is a right of passage for center console boats. Nice upgrade for sure.
cumberlandjg
The 1720 was my first boat, great boat and have zero issues complaints or bad things to say about key west. I was heavily considering the Key west 210 BR due to some of the more recreational friendly amenities. But I have always wanted a Pathfinder and do not regret the decision one bit. I have had some folks with these motors tell me clean fuel and ring free are the trick for longevity. I have 2 weeks vacation coming up and can't wait to take this thing down to the Ga Coast. jason p
If you haven’t done so already I’d put a new water separator on it, with so few hours in 15 years there may be some nasty stuff laying in the old one, change it every 50 hrs.
