Lowcountry Joe
How are you guys keeping birds from crapping all over your boat when it's idle for a few days. I have a Gull Wing spinning around on the T Top which works fine , but the rest of the boat , gunnels, casting platform, deck, and transom area are covered with droppings. I have a cover but the marsh rats seem to love it under the cover. The boat is on a lift which limits its my options. Any suggestions ?? Chief5130
I have seen motion activated sprinklers that people have used. Not sure how effective it is. It does keep other fisherman away from getting wet.😒

hawg
I believe that Remington makes a device which would solve your problem.
Lowcountry Joe
Fin the birds are perching on the gunnels , the upper cross beam on the lift, and the casting deck at the bow as close as I can tell.
FROZEN
Joe, Google “motion activated bird deterrent“. Lots of choices that may work. I live next to a bird sanctuary, and had daily bird squeeze. Hosed off daily....no problem. A couple years ago, I installed a motion activated rotating camera to keep an eye on the boat, and look down the river when we’re not there. As an unintended consequence, the squeeze decreased significantly. We still have occasional droppings, but I think it’s from flyovers, not perching. fin-addict
Try stringing some mono across lift beams and other places that won’t inter fear with the use of the lift or the boat. You see this at marinas with bird problems. When I was a yacht broker, had the same problem where I slipped several boats stern to the dock. Ran mono along the dock piling and problem solved. had same problem at my home dock, side docking did the same. Also ran mono under top piping where birds perched, problem solved. Try it,
SCFD rtrd.
Several owners at our condo marina use the mono line method as fin-addict describes. Maybe a combination of mono line and motion activated water sprinklers.
Reel Special 3
Just rig up a Scare Eyes to swing in the wind and change the color every month or so so the birds don't get used to it. Amazon has them. https://www.amazon.com/Bird-X-Scare-Eye-Repellent-Predator-Balloon/dp/B002ZRQK1E/ref=asc_df_B002ZRQK1E/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=167137474498&hvpos=1o7&hvnetw=g&hvrand=17009460373234221910&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=t&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9012215&hvtargid=aud-801381245258:pla-312646507857&psc=

Great if they work for you.
