fishcamp
I just bought a 1992 Redfisher. It has the original 130 hp yamaha v4 motor. It has just enough clearance under the transom mounted poling platform to remove the engine cover. I would like to replace it with a new 115 hp motor. Any suggestions on a motor that will fit. Also, how do you access the nuts on the inside of the boat that hold the polling platform to the stern?
Jeffrey Weisenberger
You will have to extend the platform no matter what new 4 stroke you put under there. I went from a 2 stroke to a 4 stroke and had to extend the platform 4 or 5 inches I can’t remember. My buddy Brent Bost had to do the same with his when he went with a 4 stroke.
