BillAV8R1
I’m looking to replace my trolling motor on my 2200 TRS. Any thoughts on the Terrova - as well as recommendations for shaft length, lbs of thrust, etc. thanks -
Bamaskeet
Most 2200 owners use a 60” long 80 lbs thrust, unless you are constantly fishing in heavy current then go with the 36v 101 lbs thrust motor. An Ulterra or Riptide with spot lock are popular.
bkh
I have the same boat and Riptide 60 inch shaft and 80lb thrust with two dedicated Trolling motor agm batteries. It has the spot or anchor lock and works very well in everything but the strongest of tides, so 90% of the time for me.
smilemaker
With a 36 volt you can fish many spots that others will have to struggle with. The motor does not have to work as hard so battery life is improved. The 3rd battery can be difficult to locate under the console but it is doable. Tall Tails
36 volt will give you so much more run time and a lot more holding power in strong current situations. I'm a big fan of the Rhodan but any 36 volt motor would out perform a 24 v system on these boats. I feel the added cost was well worth it.
