AntonRx
Happy Thursday all! In my quest to get my gps hooked up with my NMEA2K network, I stumbled upon something. Is it normal for my Suzuki C10 gauge (which is connected to the NMEA) to turn on with my ignition key when the battery switch is turned off??!! What’s even weirder is the gauge shows 2.1 volts. Any ideas? If the backbone was connected directly to a battery, wouldn’t it show 12v? Maybe I’m being ignorant? Further more, is this the way it’s supposed to be? FINCHASER
I would say yes it would be normal for it to turn on as NMEA is wired direct to the battery so it has power 24/7 all it needs is the signal to turn on which it must be getting from the ignition switch. Having said that I dont know what a C10 gauge is so I assume it sconnected to said NMEA network?
