East Coast Dave Posted March 15, 2020 Report Share Posted March 15, 2020 Simrad total shuts down when I turn off the ignition. This just started. Turns right back on if I hit the power button. It totally shutdowns though. I was Going to track try to figure it out but thought I would start with the forum. thanks for any suggestions on where to start. smooth move Posted March 15, 2020 Report Share Posted March 15, 2020 is your battery up to snuff? my depthfinder is powered by my crank battery and will shut down like that when the battery is at low charge. otherwise, like already mentioned, i'd check all connections. The same thing happened to me.... I rewired mine to one of my trolling motor batteries under the console.... The power surge of the starting motor to the house battery does it...each time it shuts off, I was loosing my track history and then the trip distance.
