Bloch776 Posted March 18, 2020 Report Posted March 18, 2020 Does anyone know if the factory tries to hide an HIN plate some where inside the boat? I found one with what appeared to be a silicone like substance stuck to the back of the plate at the bottom of my anchor locker while cleaning it out. Was thinking maybe they hide one somewhere Incase the number on the transom gets scratched out. Quote
Killer Posted March 18, 2020 Report Posted March 18, 2020 Every boat manufacture is required to have one HIN on the rear transom and a hidden HIN inside the boat, which is their choice. Not sure where MHP puts theirs, in my experience you usually need a letter head or email from a law enforcement account before they will give it up. Can I ask if the HIN in the anchor locker matches the HIN on your transom? Quote
MuddyBottomBluz Posted March 18, 2020 Report Posted March 18, 2020 Believe it or not, there are 3 or 4 of them hidden. Stick you're head in every compartment and look up, or just get a mirror. Quote
Bloch776 Posted March 19, 2020 Author Report Posted March 19, 2020 Yes it matches. That was the first thing I thought when I saw it. Well that’s interesting. I guess I’ll stick it back in there somewhere Quote
