HewesYourDaddy Posted April 21, 2020 Report Posted April 21, 2020 Since I’m getting things repaired to my detached shop after the tornadoes last week, I’ve decided to upgrade my house with new high wattage generator and service entrance panel with manual transfer switch. Can someone find this panel any cheaper than what Home Depot has them for? I have searched the internet and it’s no luck. I had someone on the other forum help find an inlet power plug for much cheaper, so I thought I’d give the brain-trust a chance to help me on this one. Quote
MuddyBottomBluz Posted April 21, 2020 Report Posted April 21, 2020 Does it have to be that particular one, replacing the internals? I have a complete main breaker panel with the mechanical interlocks as shown. They are out there, just beware of the internet prices. My generator breaker is missing at the present time but same principal. Quote
MuddyBottomBluz Posted April 21, 2020 Report Posted April 21, 2020 By the way the 125 amp breaker feeds my original house panel which is now a sub panel to this one. Quote
Shallowminded6 Posted April 21, 2020 Report Posted April 21, 2020 Did you try an electric supply house? Allot of stuff can be purchased cheaper than HD and Lowes. I would try whoever is local to you. Quote

If it is as simple as you want you could get one half that size. But if it is for a detached shed it would be nice to have breaker spaces available. That one looks like it's made for a weather-head/ overhead service. 1 Quote
