heweshay Posted April 22, 2020 Report Posted April 22, 2020 Just bought a Hewes 18' redfisher and it has an atlas micro jack plate on it. Worked fine until one day it got stuck all the way down. Fuse (40 amp) was blown so we replaced fuse and secured wires to battery, didn't fix it. We replaced the old corroded metal toggle (that originally got stuck in on position which is why we think it blew the fuse) and still didn't fix the problem. It seems like power isn't getting to the jack plate, are there signs if this is an actutator problem? Quote
jh141 Posted April 23, 2020 Report Posted April 23, 2020 There have been conversations here about the FULL size Atlas. The relays, there are two in an encased pack that go bad. Others here have found a way to build there own relay pack. Do not think the Micro has the exact same but must have some type of relays to reverse the motor direction. Put 12 volts directly to the wires that feed the jack plate motor. They look to be a Larger green and a Larger blue. If is groans and tries to go down more reverse the pos and neg ( to the green and blue) that go directly to the jack plate motor and it should go up. If it does one or both of the relays may be bad. If it does nothing when you put power directly to the motor, then chances are the motor is bad. This is a picture of the micro wire harness. Looks like it has two replaceable relays. 2 Quote
