makomark Posted May 8, 2020 Report Posted May 8, 2020 I seem to be getting a decent amount of water in the bilge. Doesn’t look like it leaking at the plug. Are the side drains a spot known to leak? Still need to look at all the plumbing for pump leaks. I posted a pic of the side scuppers. Quote
jensenjeff Posted May 8, 2020 Report Posted May 8, 2020 First area I would check would be the live well fittings as you mentioned. Quote

smooth move Posted May 8, 2020 Report Posted May 8, 2020 also check the water pressure hose and speedo hose for kinks and breaks. happened to me twice. Quote
fishmanjj Posted May 8, 2020 Report Posted May 8, 2020 If you have ball / cock valves for the livewells , turn them off and check it. Also the drain plug does have an “O” ring...make sure it’s not dry rotten....just a thought , but somewhere to start looking. Quote
smilemaker Posted May 8, 2020 Report Posted May 8, 2020 what boat and year. it looks as if you have the old style scuppers on the side. it is a very poor design in that you have a solid brass tube that is flair fitted on each end connecting two different components, the liner and the hull. over time tha difference in flexing allows this tube to loosen and leak. many years back there was a post on how to solve the problem bur like many old posts they were lost when the forum was changed. hopefully someone has a saved version of the post and can post it. Happy Lappy Posted May 8, 2020 Report Posted May 8, 2020 I think I have the same problem on my 92. Mine has PVC. is it as simple as pulling the old PVC and replacing along with 4200? Quote
SouthernWake Posted May 8, 2020 Report Posted May 8, 2020 Check your hull/deck seal may have even opened up creating a gap with time. Quote
gdeloach Posted May 10, 2020 Report Posted May 10, 2020 To check it on the trailer, put the plug in the boat and use a water hose to put water into the bilge. Often times, the leak will show itself by coming out of the boat. Quote
