SW Skif Posted May 18, 2020 Report Posted May 18, 2020 So I finally had the Rhodan installed. I run a ‘99 2200v. I went with a 24v system, 60” shaft, stealth DC charger and Powermania system charger. Bob at Inshore Marine Specialties installed. I’ve used his services in the past and he is and always will be my go to. Bob is a stand-up guy👍. I fished Saturday morning in the 10k’s for a few hours. Basically the trip was a familiarization trial. After 15 minutes of running south I stopped and put the Rhodan through some paces. I’m impressed. After a quick setup, I was in business. Fished a few shorelines, bars etc. And I thought that the hand control trolling motors were the cats meow. After lunch , wind started kicking so we called it a day. 1 Quote
SCFD rtrd. Posted May 18, 2020 Report Posted May 18, 2020 Nice looking rig. I'm about due for a new trolling motor and considering the Rhodan. Quote
SW Skif Posted May 19, 2020 Author Report Posted May 19, 2020 Thanks. I thought using the remote would be a pain. Its not. The anchor feature is icing on the cake. Quote
FROZEN Posted May 19, 2020 Report Posted May 19, 2020 I can’t tell from your pics, but how did you handle access to the bow cleat? Still usable for anchoring? Nice job, by the way!! Quote
SW Skif Posted May 19, 2020 Author Report Posted May 19, 2020 No front cleat, cleats just off the sides from the end of the picture. And with the Rhodan, no more anchoring! Not really. I still have my anchor. I’m sure I’ll use it especially in the winter bottom fishing for sheeps, and possibly snapper in the summer. 90% of my fishing is shallow water. <8’. Quote
