FINCHASER Posted June 11, 2020 Report Posted June 11, 2020 Wondering if anyone has solved this yet? I think it gets in when water hits the face of the console like when you hit it with a high pressure nozzle or in a hard driven rain.... think the lip on the door opening can only handle so much before some spills over. My initial thought is to find a piece of rubber weather stripping to put at the top edge of the door so when its closed the strip presses onto the console face.... thoughts? Quote
pbspecial Posted June 12, 2020 Report Posted June 12, 2020 Fin, i had the same problem with my 2500. Home Depot sells some self-stick weather striping material that has three small channels in it. I used that and added it to the areas where there was not enough pressure to make a seal. Seems to have worked as the inside of the console is dry now. I also noticed that it was coming in at the bottom, sepecially when washing the boat and spraying the cooler down. So make sure to check that area as well.... PB Quote
