If you mount on the starboard side you have an unobstructed access to the locker . If on the port side the shaft is in the way when the locker is open. Limitless Posted June 16, 2020 Report Share Posted June 16, 2020 I dont know what boat you're mounting it on, but most of the MBG boats have an aluminum plate glassed in on the port bow for trolling motor installs, you should check with the company. Moderator Posted June 18, 2020 Report Share Posted June 18, 2020 There are plates in the deck structure, but they can only be so big.. The Deck cap meets the hull well inside the rubrail.
