PathyNoob
Hi all, I just ordered the RamMount for my trolling motor. My boat is in storage so need ya'lls help with how to install. Would i be able to have bottom of gunnel access or deck access to put bolts on it? Or would this be something of a screw down and 5200? thanks in advance. PathyNoob
man. nobody has put a rammount on their boat? ok, what about a cleat or a rod holder? is there room to do a top mount using screw and nut?
HoneyB
For the ram mount I would just bed it with 4200 and screw it down. There really should not be any forces applied to the base to require trying though bolt it. Be sure to pre drill for the size of your screw so you do not stress the gel coat and cause a crack. X2 and do NOT use 5200 unless something is never going to be moved. Used way too much when not needed.
