ToddM
Need input. Would a jack plate be beneficial on a 2006 Maverick HPX-V 17 with a 115 Yamaha 2 stroke (TLRB), carbon Kevlar Hull? Boat is in Texas, so a jack plate seems like it would be beneficial running shallower and putting in/off flats, but some concerns exist about potential cavitation issues. Anyone have experience or have input on this? Love to hear the pros and cons before putting a jack plate on it and recommendations on which model and setback length needed, and prop. Moderator
It can take some time for the right member to check in and read the thread. In the mean time, here is a guy who has fished the 17 HPX extensively.. Shoot him a call Monday. Charlie Johnson - Director of Marketing Maverick Boat Company, Inc. 772-465-0631: Ext. #126.
