jason p Posted June 26, 2020 Report Share Posted June 26, 2020 Pulled the rod holder screws out of the gunnel kite fishing a couple weeks ago, Gemlux has backing plates to get the job done correctly. jason p Posted June 27, 2020 Author Report Share Posted June 27, 2020 Not sure, maybe a partially stripped hole from over tightening at the factory? We also use an aft shade that pulls sideways on the holder when the baby is on board that I’m sure contributed to it pulling. Regardless there’s no excuse for boats costing this much money from a manufacturer that fancies itself as a premium builder to not have thru bolted rod holders.
