JimV520VX
Hello Has anyone installed a shoot thru the hull transducer on a 2017 Hewes Redfisher 16? If so, exactly where did you place the transducer? Any photos you can share? How effective are the signals? I'm old school and planning an install of a Vexilar Flasher with a shoot thru the hull transducer. I have found it to be the most reliable, constant, instantaneous signal in very shallow, grass flats conditions. Allows me to watch a graph chart on the screen and see an instantaneous bottom read at speed when running. Thanks in advance for any guidance. fin-addict
Have installed many over the years. I have someone run the boat at different speeds and trim while I move the puck around till I get the best constant reading at all speeds. Not a hard or long job. mulligan
The older Hewes that had them from the factory had them just in front of the pocket and keel side of the sea chest. Or at least that is were mine is.
