fin-addict Posted August 30, 2020 Report Share Posted August 30, 2020 After using the boat a few hrs ago I just noticed a slight oil drip into the water from the lower unit. 2003 150 hpdi vmax. Found it was from a small hole in the front stb side of engine below the cavitation plate. There are two, about an 1 1/2” apart. The lower one has the drip. What are they for, speedo pickup ?. Really never noticed them before. Does water come out as flushing engine, never noticed, usually on other side of motor by flush port. Never noticed this before. Is my motor sick. 🤢. No, when arrived at dock shut down, tiltited up and flushed and then washed the boat. Wetness is clear and feels like water and oil mix. Could it be just from the flushing does water come from these holes when flushing, thanks ran at idle speed for awhile coming to dock before shutting down. All I accomplished was ****** up my back and pulling on two old hernia sites leaning over transom. Thanks much for coming to my aid. 😀⚓️🙏👍fin. Son returning from fishing yesterday.
