johnd
New (to me) boat so time to readjust my lift. Actually this could be useful topic anytime. How do you determine the distance between bunks? I heard use the distance of the bunks on trailer - however bunks may not be same hight AND often trailer cross beams dip down, unlike the cross beams of a lift. (I've done this wrong and scraped keel gelcoat). In the past just trail and error, but thought gosh, maybe this time I'll try to get it right first time. Thanks in advance. smilemaker
fairly straightforward always place supports under the stringers the bunk heigth will be determined by the the distance needed to clear the keel from the cross member step hulls are a little trickier in that the bunk will vary in height
SCFD rtrd.
Exactly, always under the stringers. If for some reason the height is still a little low, you can add synthetic wood (PVC or Starboard) between the bunks and the I-beam to give you more height. Do you have a stepped hull boat? johnd
Not stepped hull. BTW: sent email to MBG and within hours got a message back with detailed response. Thanks.

johnd
boat is 2002 1900V stringers 39" apart. Set bunks at 38" (19 to center). 8" bunks appear to give clearance off cross beams. Will know for sure when I splash and bring home.
