Beehaw
This is on/in my deck. I think it is a seat post holder, but the portion below deck has become extremely rusted and I would like to remove it. My plan is to leave the cover on the deck when I am done to conceal the hole but remove the part that is disintegrating from the bottom. Pic 3981 is from inside the front storage compartment. Any thoughts?

fin-addict
Have the same on my 22 pathy. Don’t even try removing it. As stated, glassed in. You can grind or saw off what is sticking down and then use a product that converts rust back to metal then paint it with a rust proof paint. If left alone it will cause rest stains in your storage locker.
Beehaw
Thanks for the replies. Exactly what I wanted to know. Leaving in the AM for a week on the bay; I didn’t want to open Pandora’s box before I left.
