johnd
not sure what impact today's rains will have... but last week plus have been solid Shad fishing in St John's river. Yesterday I went 2 for 3 on fly. My buddies went 9 for 9 day before tossing ultra light tackle.

johnd
Photo location: instead of using those fancy photo apps that blur the background thus hiding one's secret spot, just wait till you get home to take pictures. Simple really
wayne
I never put it together you were hiding a spot... I looked at the pic and thought," I didn't know those were edible".
johnd
Wayne - the 'spot hiding' was a joke. The roe is edible and really good. When we were kids we would smoke these, but I have no idea if fish any good to eat or how to prepare. Reason we kept a few is they are great bait for offshore bottom fish - so I ate the roe and chunked the fish into freezer bags for future offshore trips. The roe is good and the fish are similar to saltwater shad. "very oily" Good chum. Safety warning, if you proceed to go offshore after eating the roe that stuff will put ball bearings in your back side if you over do it.
