Guest DavidG
Guys and Gals, I’m thinking of adding a sissy bar as well as 4 rod holders on my poling platform. I’d like to hear your experience both good and bad before doing this as the only shop here in Jax charges a arm and a leg. The rod holders will only be used for trolling on those calm days along the tide line. Any info will be appreciated....David

Any info will be appreciated....David I have 6 rodholders in my platform on the MA17....never can have too many.....I use them mostly for Chunking Ladyfish in Chokoloskee.... Depending on the shore line angle, I"ll place them in various positions.... DC
THE OUTLAW
Good work is not cheap , and cheap work is not good . A nice , removable sissy bar , will run ya anywhere from $350 to $500 . Rod holders , will cost $85 to $100 each depending on the style . Not really arm n leg money . 🇺🇸🏴☠️
FLDXT
I had a sissy bar on my 17MA. It was removable and adjustable and I never used it. Had two rod holders on also on my pp, used them all the time, mostly for free lining livies.

And once I asked about having it powdered coated white the price went higher.
THE OUTLAW
Sounds about right $350 sissy bar $85 per rod holder . $690 +tax ! SORRY !!!!!!! Powdercoating is another vendor , and we have no control over his price . No mention of that in your original post . Probably another $100 for powdercoating And your price would be cheaper , because it would be mill finish pipe . Price is FAIR & LEGIT ! Merry Christmas 🇺🇸🏴☠️ PS To add rod holders to an all ready powdercoated white poling platform , is another whole new price . The platform would have to be derigged and removed , from the boat , sandblasted an repowdercoated and re installed on the boat . Kinda like ordering a cheese pizza but actually wanting the meat lovers pie . Just food for thought ! Happy New Year ! 🇺🇸🏴☠️ PSS How was the drive from Jax to FLL ? Came all this way and never got to see the wizard ? 🇺🇸🏴☠️ PSSS So after an eye to eye talk with my personal secretary , with whom I have worked with for ten years , she denies ever talking to you , weather in person , or on the phone . I have been in business for 4 decades , and my whole reputation revolves around word of mouth advertising . My word is legit and will defend my word to the end . I have been on this forum for ever and have never been apart of any negative garbage , so hopefully the Mods cut me a little slack . I am done with this topic .! Good day 🇺🇸🏴☠️

Good day 🇺🇸🏴☠️ If this post was due to my post, She is incorrect. It was brought directly across Atlantic Blvd after leaving ACM to that shop! And I stand by my word that she did NOT get up from behind her desk! Outlaw, this is NOT about your shop! I’ve never been to FLL. Yes I knew the price would be high but not quite that high..David
