James In VA
Strange issue with my 2005 2200V TE. When the fuel gauge shows 1/2 tank, I experience fuel starvation when running in choppy conditions. If it is calm, no problem. When fuel tank is full, no problem. BUT, when around a half tank of fuel in choppy conditions, when the bow crests the wave, the engine stalls momentarily. When the bow rises to take the next wave, or If I transition to smooth water after crossing another boat’s wake, the engine runs fine. The stalling seems to coincide with fuel running forward in the tank as the bow falls off the crest of the wave. I have convinced myself that there is something going on with the fuel sending unit. I would like to know if anyone else has experienced a similar issue, or if you have thoughts on what may be going on. thanks, James
Bamaskeet
It sounds like a vst issue not a fuel tank issue. There is enough fuel in your canister fuel filter to run a couple of miles.
smilemaker
have you tried to duplicate the problem on the trailer by raising and lowering the tongue you can jack up the tires and put on blocks to give a greater angle when you lower the tongue
nhinshoreangler
2 Stroke or 4 stroke? If it's a 2 stroke, you could have debris in your carburetor bowls. Debris can clog and unclog depending on the movement of the boat. I went through this with my boat.
