bh973
Hello - Currently I have an amp and charger mounted to a piece of starboard in the console. The current amp barely fits. I am looking to get a larger amp and would like to mount a another piece of starboard on the other side of the console. Here is my challenge. I am not a big fan of thru-bolting as I don't like seeing hardware on the outside of the console. The current piece appears to been mounted using an epoxy of some sort. Is this an option? Bad idea? *** it up and thru-bolt it? move stuff around on the other piece of starboard and make it fit? Thanks!
jh141
Not a bad ideal. My Pathfinder has a composite type board epoxied to the inside of the console. It is NOT starboard. Some type of composite. Not sure epoxy would stick to starboard.
smilemaker
Go to a big box store and get some pvc board. Epoxy it to the side of the console. You might need to use more than one section as it is not available in wide sheets.
SCFD rtrd.
You can also rough-up the backside of PVC board, clean the fiberglass with acetone and use Bondo (body fuller) to adhere.
