Flatschaser
Like many I am plagued by the small round access hatch on my 2001 2200v. My arms ache at the thought of another hose or bilge pump change. It’s time for a larger rectangular hatch. My question is which is the standard size that will fit correctly? I have heard it’s 11”x15? Also are there any structural issues with cutting that size out of the splash well? I am completely capable of doing it but want to do my homework before tackling the job. Bamaskeet
Armstrong, Jim Black and THMarine make hatches that work in the splash well. I think TH Marine is again making the original Pathfinder hatch.
Limitless
I explored the structural issue before changing out the pie hole on my last 3 Hewes and never heard of any problems. THMarine makes a great product and I use the non-hinged, fully removable style.
smilemaker
I like the non hinged also. be sure to have a safety wire attached to the base and the underside of the lid. can't tell you how many times I get to the ramp and say oh sheesh I forgot to put it back on good. SW Skif
I used a non hinged hatch from greatlakesskipper.com. 12x16
Whiskeytrain
I replaced the my hatch with the TH marine one mentioned above. Water leaks through the hatch from the live well overflow. Anyone else having this issue? The hatch base has 5200 sealed around the outer area. Trying to find a good way to prevent water from leaking through the hatch
