Pabel1993
Can someone help me end this argument.. what are the transoms constructed with on the 2200 and 2300. Someone keeps arguing with me that they’re wood, but I’m almost 99 percent sure pathfinders are no wood construction. Someone help me settle this
jh141
Pathfinders have NO WOOD. Not in the Transom or anywhere else. I know that means nothing coming from me, but I am sure Skip of the Mod will chime in.

redzone1
I don’t know about Pathfinder, but I know for a first hand fact that Contender uses or used plywood in the top cap. I installed a couple of rod holders with a holesaw in a 2010 25 Open and found the wood sandwiched between fiberglass
Moderator
Maverick hulls went all-composite in the mid 80’s. Hewes, a year or two later. The first 15 and 17 Pathfinders were aluminum if I recall, then went to FG/composite when Maverick took them over in the 90’s. There was balsa coring used in the DV’s above the waterline the first few years, but it was laid up correctly and did not get wet.. The factory Always used the lightest and strongest coring, as that technology became available.. Just from my memory… MM
