RacerxV6
Hey guys, I did a search earlier and didn't really come across anything specific for a DIY'r performing this service. Is this something that is simple enough to do myself as I am mechanically inclined, or do I take it to my local service dealer and let them perform it and test everything. Would love to get ya'lls feedback. This is the service kit I am looking at This is the kit I am looking at...
fishmanjj
You can do it. If you have ever changed the oil in your truck, or changed spark plugs, etc. you got this. JJ
Headhunter
I just did it on my Maverick and I used the stuff from Partsvu as well. Easy to do if you are mechanically inclined. A tip, make sure you order the little gaskets for the lower unit oil fill and vent. It's not in the kit. Good luck.
THE OUTLAW
Did mine during lunch break , and still had time to eat . Buy OEM parts only , and keep receipt ( PARTS VU ) , and warrantee is still good . 🇺🇸🏴☠️
