z28jimi
I'm looking to replace a stone-age plotter, and want to stay with Garmin primarily because that's what I know best, but I'm a little put off by their prices. Most other brands, you can find some variation in price depending on where you shop, but Garmin units seem to be the same price everywhere. Are there any dealers that discount the prices, or are Garmin's prices fixed across all vendors?
fishmanjj
I bought mine from the Garmin on-line outlet. It was about $200 cheaper than some of the dealer prices. Mine is a 94sv
z28jimi
Interesting...that's the exact model I'm thinking of. I'll check out the outlet. Thanks.

It's long gone now, but it was a 70 1/2 model, green with black stripes. Got it in 1972 from an Air Force friend who had been transferred to Thailand, and kept it for the next 14 years. 360 hp 350 cid..it could separate your retinas. MuddyBottomBluz
Bet you would love to have it back now?! I had 3 F-Bodies, a Gen 2, 78 Golden Anniversary Trans Am, my first car in the military, (1987). Gen 3 Black & Tan 1982 Z28 Cross Fire Injection. Now a 1999 WS6 LS1 Trans Am with a 6-speed manual, and I love it!. Now ya see why I had to ask! Oh yeah, and I drive a Ford truck, go figure!
