I was coming home on Alligator Alley one time in the middle of a really bad storm and saw one of the most beautiful rainbows ever. Like this one ^, it seemed to stretch from horizon to horizon. God gave us the rainbow as a sign of the covenant that He would never again destroy the earth by flood. "I have set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth." (Genesis 9:13).
