SCFD rtrd. Posted December 19, 2021 Report Share Posted December 19, 2021 I mounted my own raw-water wash down back in 2013 (Sure-Flow). The trick is to spray the pump with a few layers of protectant to stop corrosion from starting. I also installed a strainer (similar to a live-well pump strainer). That keeps grass and stuff from entering the pump and causing pump malfunctions. Had same pump since 2013 and never had a problem. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
bsh102 Posted January 11, 2022 Author Report Share Posted January 11, 2022 Forgot I posted this question here. I upgraded to the 4.0 Shur flow pump and works very well.
