soflo palmer Posted January 17, 2022 Report Share Posted January 17, 2022 Recently acquired a 1987 ma deluxe 18.5 that needs some help. Previous owner installed rodholders in the rear casting deck on either side. The issue is, these rodholders were never plumbed and have nowhere to drain but straight down into the foam... I’m worried how much water that foam could’ve soaked up and how much of an issue this is. What would be the most efficient way to attempt to resolve this? Is it as simple as just scooping out as much foam as possible and repouring? This is one of many flaws I am working on to make this boat new again, so many more questions to come.
