I change the cartridge's when they go bad.

I order new two pin Deutsch connectors (I get mine from Jegs)

I order the Shurflo pump cartridge and install the new connector.  Easy swap when one goes bad. I order the cartridge from whoever has them and is cheapest.

Mine have been lasting years so I have stuck with them. If you have a pick up pump not working, check for debris, I have had some kind round seed get into mine and just stop the motor. Cleaning gets it going again.

My Bilge Pump is not a cartridge style. My Live well and recirculate pumps are. With the TRS they are right under the seats.

The bilge pump I service through the splash well hatch. The base is screwed down but the pump and internal switch just clip to the base. I use a long slotted screw driver to release the clips and pull the pump up by the hose. I clean the pickup screen and base and put it back.

This to I’m curious about as the access on the 24trs to the pump is waaay far from the access hatch unless your stretch Armstrong.
