johnd
a few health issues (all good now), busy with home projects, chances to go offshore - been too many weeks since the Pathy been off the trailer and on the water. Yes, it's hot summer, but 3 of the 4 last mornings been on the Banana River at 0600 to enjoy sunrise and tossing topwater. Think I remember how to do this and why it's so much fun. Landed my largest trout in quite a while (25" measured) and safely released on 10lb test and a small top water. Next morning different place got a small Snooklet to eat topwater. And this morning, on a 3" paddle tail, about the smallest Redfish - about 7" - I can remember. Wow - so great to see a small Redfish. There is still no grass. Water temps 80 or more. Fish about an hour and a half, till the sweat is running down my back and bluring the sunglasses. Happy to be back on the water.
