croakersmoker Posted July 27, 2022 Report Share Posted July 27, 2022 I am lined up to repower my 1997 Bayfisher 16' next week with a Yama SHO 90. I planned to go with Sea Star Steering until I was told they have clearance issues by an owner who did the install. He said he had to get a fiberglass shop to make room for it. I have also found threads that say it fits fine on the boat. Even still on those threads, some people recommend U-flex saying that it fits better in tight places. Can please help me put this to rest? Does SeaStar Hydraulic Steering fit in the splashwell of a Lappy Hewes 16? If not, can someone please post a picture of where and what the issue is? Thanks in advance!
