Lowcountry78
Has anyone installed a new battery charger and the holes did not match up? I’m trying to avoid putting new holes in the side of my console. I’ve thought about using the cutting screws to attach a piece of starboard inside the console and then attach the new charger to that. Any other suggestions?
NCTribute
I did it. I used a piece of Starboard, luckily the the new charger was smaller and did not cover the old holes and was able to thru bolt, countersunk the Starboard for the screws mounting the new charger. Waterman18
You could use PVC board and epoxy it to the inside securing it with screws from the existing holes. Then screw the charger on he board. I believe the factory expoxies the PVC instead of starboard.
smilemaker
Take a piece of starboard and use existing holes to mount the starboard. Remove the starboard and drill holes to fit the new charger. Place stainless steel tnuts on back of starboard. Mount starboard to console. Now mount the charger. It is a good idea to place nylon spacers between starboard and charger to help with cooling.
