AntonRx
Evening all. I am in the process of removing the pickup tube/assembly in my fuel tank. I am soaking the threads overnight with a special brew of ATF + Acetone. While that works it's magic, I'd like to get the pickup tube ordered. Any ideas on what size that is? How about the depth of the tank? Side note, there are some threads/posts out there about how to do this type of work and let me tell you, it's every bit of a PITA as they say! Stay tuned for more...
AntonRx
Afternoon all. The ATF+Acetone didn't work! The threads are not corroded at all either (from what I can see) as this boat's had a T-top for most it's life and the inside of the console never gets wet. For fear of cracking the tank/fittings, I will work at the motor end this weekend and pull off the VST and replace the 2 filters that are in there. Could a 2017 motor with just over 160 hrs have issues with the VST? If that doesn't do it, I guess it has to be the pickup tube/ASV? More to come...
