gamecock2009
I have a 1900v with a 2 stroke so my starboard aft storage compartment is full with a starter battery and oil reservoir, does anyone have a similar setup with a power pole or idea where to mount the pump? Wanaflatsfish
WHAT MODEL? Console comes to mind....but, you need to be careful running the hydraulic Lines so they do not get pinched. Other location, but, not optimal is bilge, you can epoxy a 1" piece of PVC board to the glass and mount closer to the stern....I"d go console if you can run the lines....
Lap it Up
Relocate batteries to the console and put the pump where the battery was. 1
Hobo
I concur with LAP IT UP 100%... I would relocate the battery (plus add another one) to underneath the console thus making room for the PowerPole pump/reservoir... This makes the boat's weight distribution much better, protects the batteries from the harsh wet bilge environment, plus minimizes the length of the hydraulic tubing... I am rather surprised you don't already have a two-battery system for redundancy and peace-of-mind... I have set up and installed scores of new PowerPoles in customer's PathFinder boats and without exception all have had the pump/reservoir mounted inside the aft starboard compartment... Good luck! ------------------<" ){{{{*><
gamecock2009
Thanks for the suggestions, I will probably relocate the battery to the center console. The previous owner had the starter battery in the aft storage so I just never messed with it.
