Desperado213
Got a new GPS and thought my old Lowrance transducer that is mounted to the inside of the bilge would work with the new unit but it does not. I went ahead and bought a 3-1 active image transducer from lowrance. My question is where are people mounting them on their 18' lappy? there is only one flat area of the hull that is right next to the trim tab on the starboard side. I wasnt sure if being that close to the trim tab would affect the transducer reading. I plan to mount it to a stern saver. Any photos are appreciated. Toeknee217
I think there is another thread that shows where others have placed their transducers. This is where I mounted mine on my lappy for reference. I don't have any issues reading at speed or anything here.
Desperado213
Thanks for the reply, that is exactly where I mounted mine on a transom saver. It is working well so far.
