Plugged Up Sea Chest

Seems like my Sea Chest on my 2003 22V is plugged with debris thanks to Hurricane Ian. Good news is boat survived the storm on a lift. The lift was damaged but the boat survived except fort some minor issues like the Tee Top canvas ripped up and some cushions blew away. I finally got my lift repaired and the motor runs fine but the live wells pumps run but seem to lose suction. I checked the filters and clean debris out of them but how do you clean the Sea. Chest? Any tricks short of pulling the boat and dropping the cheese crater.?
Thanks in Advance

Mike

How about a garden hose???  While on the lift, disconnect some plumbing and try forcing water backwards through the plumbing and out the sea-chest. The debris might be hard and dry, so be patient.

Agree but feel the grater still needs to be removed to flush all out or may be sucked back in.
