George Seither
Browsing post on trailer maintenance most of the folks here keep up with their vessels and trailers, starting to see some local boaters with failed axels on the side of the road and Interstate’s, happens everywhere and makes for a long day ! for those that don’t understand the things to inspect to prevent trailer fails found this check list from all places NOAA. It’s actually pretty good checklist. https://www.omao.noaa.gov/sites/default/files/documents/NF57-19-02 Annual Trailer Evaluation.pdf

Wanaflatsfish
good information.... BTW, one tip the GM at Ameratrail told me is to get a good hand sprayer and fill it with Salt Away and do the following: 1.) Right after you come off the ramp...spray everything down...yes, right afterwards....what he said is most people just spray when the trailer is finished for the day...he said everyone forgets that the salt water has 6-8 hours to dry....so, spray twice 2.) after it has the boat on it, spray again...then drive home....when you get home, get a sprinkler - one of the those twilerly ones and leave under the boat for 1/2 hour.... adds years to the brakes and axle.
