AntonRx
Hey all, in the keys and was coming back in at WOT, everything running great, when suddenly, motor turned off. Wouldn’t start back up. Luckily, made it back to my dock with my Rhodan. While diagnosing, I’ve noticed it’s not making any priming noise when I turn to half key. 2 months ago, I replaced the high pressure fuel filters in the VST. They were completely clogged (see my other post). I’m wondering if my the low or high pressure fuel pump went out? Does the 2017 DF140 fuel pump prime every time the key is 1/2 turn? Could this be the low pressure pump?
AntonRx
Ok, so, I had a new fuel pump overnighted. Installed new fuel pump. Things is signing now. Any ideas why it went out so early? It’s a 2017 but only has 170hrs on it.
Bamaskeet
I wonder if your bad fuel that clogged your vst filter effected the fuel pump?
AntonRx
That’s what I’m thinking. Who knows how long those filters were clogged causing extra strain. Here’s what the strainers/filters looked like before changing them. Should have changed the fuel pump then as well! At least it’s done now.
