Transducer mounting 2001 17 HPX Tunnel

Hey Angus -

Best advice I can give you is to go to Home Depot and go to the trim isle and look for the light PVC trim.  It's easy to work with, sandable, and makes a GREAT way to mount your transducer without worrying about getting the location perfect the first time.   Match the general area of the portion of your transom you plan to mount on, mount it with 4 screws and silicon to seal it to the hull, and those 4 holes will be the last you put in your transom.   You will mount your transducer to this plate, so if you need to move it, it puts holes into the PVC plate, not the boat.   Too many holes?  Replace the plate with the same screw holes.
