Don S
I have a 2005 Pathfinder 24 foot. Keep it on lift, have no trailer. Twice in the 18 years I have had it, hurricanes have overwhelmed the bilge pump and boat has filled with water to the point of getting water in fuel. Having the boat on a lift does not allow me to pull a plug to let water drain. I want to drill a hole and put in a traditional plug that I can pull from inside the boat. Currently, the only drainage plug is only accessible from under the boat. Do you see any issues with this or have any better suggestions? MuddyBottomBluz
Yes, reverse the current threaded plug so it screws in from the bilge side. Or just replace the drain tube with an ol'e fashioned brass tube and rubber plug from the inside. No additional holes needed, just a platform float to work on the boat. gtrfred
Gemlux makes a drain plug you can unscrew from the inside of the boat.
polliwog
Do you have power to the boat? Use a sump pump that that sit flat on the bottom of the floor. It will get all ,but an inch out of the boat. I have one that work great. I drained a hot tub in no time.
