SLboating Posted July 21, 2023 Report Share Posted July 21, 2023 Hello I am about to purchase a 2500 rigged with a 250 sho 20" shaft. Does this 20" shaft have cavitation problems? how's the hullshot? Is it underpowered? I got a lot of questions and would love to talk to somewhere. Will be my first pathfinder how does the 2500 ride? jh141 Posted July 21, 2023 Report Share Posted July 21, 2023 Pretty sure most 2500's are rigged with 25 inch F300s. If you have a Jack Plate the 20 inch SHO will be fine. Plenty of adjustment to deal with any cavitation. As far as power, I have a 200 SHO flashed to 325 and that would be more than enough power for the 2500. I suspect the SHO 250 would be sufficient.
