Popular Post Laser Wolf
1998 Hewes Bayfisher 18, I replaced my original loud and smokey 2 stroke Yamaha 115 with cable steering. For a Mercury Pro Xs 115 from Preferred Marine. I added a jackplate, also hydraulic steering. It feels like a brand new boat, whisper quiet, rips hard. she's a unit at 45mph. sips fuel, no smoke, no noise, no worries. guys at Preferred Marine in Pompano are great, it's a nice family run business to work with. now I just need a new poling platform, some days off and I'm thinking about adding a grab bar over the console.

polliwog
i converted to a 4 stroke on my 20ft LT, what a difference Gas usage is down by a half with out any lose of power. Quiet as a mouse. I was surprised the weight was only about 50lbs more. Good move
Laser Wolf
I had the DekIt Now guys come lay down some DekIt marine flooring on my Hewes , I went full "camo" and I love it. Nice feel on the feet and knees, no glare and quieted down the boat a bit. Plus it hides some of the 25 years of wear. Wife also is a big fan of it so that helps. Still the same problem with not enough days off. Im liking the no poling platform for now, but will add one eventually

Laser Wolf
Recently had Ralph at AIM welding in Fort Lauderdale build me a poling platform, grab bar, gunnel grab handles and forward casting deck for my Hewes, He did a tremendous job! He's also a Hewes boat owner.
