Popular Post Wanaflatsfish
I recommend Dr. Michelle of Prime Institute of Miami / Fort Lauderdale. She can be reached at Primeinstitute.us for a consultation....tell her Dino sent ya in the comments section. BTW, her twin sister, Amy, is a specialist for Men's Health.....I GET NOTHING FOR ANY REFERRALS..... I am writing this to see if this could help someone else....I know we have a few "BIG" guys on the forum....and weight loss is something that affects our fishing abilities (up and down on the boat), and our health in General.... LINK FOR CONSULT The Story..... I met Dr. Pearlman back in April of 2022. I was weighing about 330 +/- lbs, not exercising – only focused on work 18 hours a day, travelling throughout the world and eating incorrectly. She completed an evaluation of me and provided me with guidance on weight loss. From April to July, I lost about 30 lbs…..then, I fell off the diet plan…even after falling off the plan, Dr. Pearlman did not abandon me…she continually would check in and encourage me to focus…Then, in December, 2022, I made a personal decision to exit the work force for 9 months and take a Sabbatical and focus on exercise and healthy eating. I ate for 90 days to what Dr. Pearlman recommends (well not all the time), but, the majority of the time (LOL)…and an exercise routine of 10-12 miles a day on my bike 4-5 times a week. The results have been a weight loss of over 50 lbs since January 1st 2023, with Cholesterol at 144, Blood Pressure – 120/70 plus minus with a resting heart rate of normally 62-67 in the morning. I’m in the best shape in the last 10 years. But, it’s not been easy to give up all the stuff you like to eat. I have followed a salt free diet as much as I can, gluten free, mostly veggies, Greek yogurt, occasionally low fat cheeses, eggs, and lots of soup (home-made broths) with veggies and chicken or shrimp. Lots of spices help keep things interesting. Minimal eating out as I find the SALT in the foods results in massive swelling and water retention. The weight loss was achieved without any drugs or stimulants for appetite suppressant….I just powered through it. I am looking for another 20 – 30 lbs in coming off in the next 2-3 months. Here’s a before and after…..January 1st 2023 with SeaSerpeant (Joe) out fishing in South Florida (Flamingo)....see his video. Weight over 330 lbs. A walking heart attack….8 months later in NC on a trout stream…275 lbs depending on the day….minus 50-55 lbs. With Joe...... Out on a trout stream in NC in August.... FOOTNOTE.....I shot many of the photos and drone shots for their website.....

If I decide to eat like an a-hole one day or have a few cocktails with the gang, I just buckle down the next week. Do one or two long fasts to get back in line.
