Capt. T
I've got a 91 Bonefisher (Tournament) with a Yamaha 90 2 Stroke. I've been thinking of jumping up to a 115 or 130hp and putting on a Jet Pump. Of course I'd keep the prop lower and switch it back and forth. Anyone have a Jet on their Hewes? If so how do it performance? Thoughts? Thanks for any help.
MCole
I talked to a man near Weeki watched fl with a jet outboard and he hated it. He said that he spent too much time stopping to Clean off gr***

Desperado213
I researched this a long time ago and if I remember correctly the consensus was that they can clog easily in shallows, are very inefficient with fuel, and are not good at low speeds or idle. Chopski
Used to have a jet pump on a 20' aluminum flats boat. Performance was horrible and whatever I might've saved on my draft was not worth it IMO. Seemed like the impeller was always a lil finicky too. I'd say save the jet pumps for rocky rivers.
